Minute Museum
Students turn ordinary objects or drawings into tiny museum exhibits.
How to play
Simple rules
Have paper ready before you explain the rules. Explain the goal in one sentence, run a short first round, then let the group settle into the rhythm.
- Each player chooses an object or draws one.
- Write a museum label with title, age, and importance.
- Display the exhibits on desks.
- Walk around and read the labels.
Best use
When this works well
Good fit
Use it for warmups, transitions, review moments, or short creative practice.
Maybe skip it
Skip it if the class needs quiet independent work or if movement would be hard to manage.
Variation
Change the format
Connect exhibits to history, science, or literature topics.
Tips
Make it work better
- Connect at least one prompt to the lesson so the activity feels useful, not like filler.
- Keep the first round simple and treat it as practice.
- Let players pass if they need a moment.
- Stop while the activity still has energy instead of stretching it too long.
